Discover the dark imagination of Mary Shelley with Frankenstein and Other Gothic Tales, a striking leather-bound collection featuring her legendary gothic masterpiece alongside a selection of haunting short fiction. Blending romantic horror, psychological tension and supernatural mystery, this volume showcases Shelley’s remarkable ability to explore the darker corners of human nature.
A Collection of Gothic Masterpieces
At the heart of this collection is Frankenstein, one of the most influential works of gothic horror ever written. The novel follows Victor Frankenstein, a scientist whose ambition to create life leads to devastating consequences. Exploring themes of creation, isolation, responsibility and the dangers of unchecked ambition, it remains a powerful and thought-provoking classic.
Alongside Frankenstein, this collection features a selection of Shelley’s atmospheric and unsettling tales, including:
- Mathilda – A haunting exploration of grief, guilt and forbidden family secrets.
- The Mortal Immortal – A supernatural tale examining the consequences of immortality and the desire to escape death.
- Transformation – A mysterious story of identity, deception and the unexpected consequences of a fateful encounter.
- The Evil Eye – A gothic tale filled with dark intrigue, superstition and unsettling secrets.
Together, these stories reveal the breadth of Shelley’s imagination, moving between supernatural horror, emotional turmoil and reflections on mortality, identity and human ambition.
