The Secret Diaries Of Miss Miranda Cheever
What Happens In London
Ten Things I Love About You
The Secret Diaries Of Miss Miranda Cheever:
At the age of ten, Miss Miranda Cheever showed no signs of ever becoming a Great Beauty. Her hair was lamentably brown, her eyes the same muddy colour, and her legs, which were uncommonly long, lacked anything which might remotely be called grace. So, even at ten, Miranda learned to accept the expectations society held for her - until the afternoon when the handsome and dashing Viscount Turner solemnly kissed her hand and promised her that one day she would grow into herself, that one day she would be as beautiful as she already was smart.
What Happens In London:
Rumours and gossip are the lifeblood of London . . . Olivia Bevelstoke, the only daughter of the Earl of Rudland, is beautiful, wealthy, twenty-one and unmarried, making her the subject of much gossip: 'What is she waiting for? A prince?' But Olivia isn't stuck up, and neither is she a hopeless romantic. However she is waiting for something - or someone. Enter Sir Harry Valentine, her intriguing new neighbour . . .
Ten Things I Love About You:
Sebastian Grey is in limbo. He is the heir presumptive to the Earl of Newbury, unless the current earl, a widower, can find a bride who will bear him a son. Newbury is in his sixties and somewhat portly, but as an earl he's considered quite a catch. Sebastian, on the other hand, is twenty-nine and devilishly handsome, but in no hurry to find a wife.Annabel Winslow, a country girl through and through, has received an offer to go to London for the season.
